Anthro (human) + cene (recent) = Anthropocene or the Age of Humans
Energy = The heat, power, and light generated from natural resources and also the human ability to be active and creative.
This multidisciplinary symposium aims to expand the definition of these terms and contemplate their interrelationship, seeing energy as a social relation as well as power production, and seeing the Anthropocene as an age marked by human creativity as well as by human destruction.
