The Iowa Women’s Archives at 25: The Feminist Impulse at Work

November 11, 2017
9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Shambaugh Auditorium, UI Main Library

The Iowa Women’s Archives is marking a major milestone this year: its 25th anniversary! On Nov. 10-11, 2017 they will celebrate 25 years of gathering and illuminating the history of Iowa women with an open house, gala dinner, and a symposium, "The Iowa Women’s Archives at 25: The Feminist Impulse at Work." The Public Policy Center is a co-sponsor of the celebration.

A day-long symposium on Saturday in the Main Library will provide an opportunity for the campus and larger community to reflect on the ways in which the collections of the Iowa Women’s Archives have enriched teaching and research over the past quarter century.

All events are open to the public. With the exception of the gala dinner—a ticketed event--all events are free. Please RSVP for the events and the dinner. A full schedule of events and speakers is available here

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Dragana Petic at dragana-petic@uiowa.edu.
