ISRC Workshop: Approaching Research within a Total Survey Error Framework
Kelly Guinn
Wednesday, March 4, 11:30am – 12:20pm
N213 Lindquist Center

In this workshop you'll be introduced to the "life cycle" of survey research. This involves two key sides of survey research: representation and measurement. There are numerous steps and decisions researchers make and these introduce the possibility of errors. The focus in this workshop will be on understanding these errors holistically, strategies to minimize them, and when they may impact statistical estimates. If time permits, there will be a demonstration using STATA that shows users how to inform the program of the survey design aspects (e.g., population weights, strata).
