Social Network Analysis in Python
Zhiya Zuo
March 29, 12:30pm - 2:20pm
C208 Pappajohn Business Building

In this workshop, we will have a brief introduction to social network analysis in Python using NetworkX. We will start by comparing different packages in Python for network data analysis. We then use one or more real work datasets to familiarize ourselves with the functions in NetworkX, including network statistics, visualization, clustering, etc. If time permits, we would also play with some state-of-the-art network embedding algorithms. Please bring your own laptop for hands-on exercise and practice.

Some experience in Python is preferred but not required. If needed, we will help you set up your laptop so that you can run the provided code snippets without trouble.
