League of Women Voters of Johnson County Legislative Forum

This forum provides an opportunity for dialogue between legislators and their constituents in Johnson County. The legislators will present summaries of critical issues before their respective houses, particularly those of interest to them. Senators Joe Bolkcom, Kevin Kinney and Zach Wahls, and Representatives David Jacoby, Bob Kaufmann, Vicki Lensing, Mary Mascher and Amy Nielsen have been invited.

Co-sponsors of the forum include Iowa City Community School District, Iowa City Education Association, American Association of University Professors, University of Iowa Public Policy Center’s Social and Education Research Program. The forum will be moderated by a LWVJC member. To allow as many questions as possible at the forums, audience members’ questions are timed, and audience members are asked to be respectful. The forums are videotaped by the respective communities and aired on their cable channels.
