Bio

Gregg Cruickshank was the Superintendent/Secondary Principal of Sidney Community Schools from 2006 - 2009.  In 2010, he also assumed Superintendent duties for South Page Community Schools and still serves in that role for both schools.  Sidney and South Page are part of the Corner Conference located in SW Iowa.  The Corner Conference is comprised of nine school districts with a combined enrollment of 2300 students.  Sidney has a PK3 - 12th Grade enrollment of 440 students and South Page has a PK3 - 12 enrollment of 129 students. 

 

The Corner Conference schools operate on a common calendar and common bell schedule.  Each district has at least one IP video unit to enable the districts to share classes, content and to participate in common professional development initiatives.  Google Hangout, Zoom, and Skype are also utilized to connect the districts and expand opportunities for student and staff learning and growth.  All but one district has implemented a 1 to 1 digital device program.  Sidney was one of the first 13 schools in Iowa to implement a 1 to 1 digital device program in 2009.  South Page implemented a program in 2010.  Staffs in both districts have applied for, received, and implemented STEM learning grants/programs from pre-school through 12th grade.

 

Gregg is Chairperson for the Corner Conference Superintendent Group, and the Secretary/Treasurer and Southwest Iowa Leadership Council Representative for Rural School Advocates of Iowa.  He earned his Bachelors, Masters, and Education Specialist degrees from Wayne State College, Wayne, Nebraska. 

 

Gregg is a Nebraska native.  He and his wife, Lynda, have two children - Kara, 24, and Casey, 21.
