Terry Gardiner

Terry Gardiner’s public service career of twelve years was centered on election to the Alaska Legislature for five terms. This included many leadership positions - Speaker of the House of Representatives, Judiciary Committee Chairman and Chair of the Alaska Criminal Code Commission. A second, two-decade career was devoted to establishing and growing an innovative startup seafood company. As CEO and Chairman of Silver Lining Seafoods and NorQuest Seafoods, Mr. Gardiner oversaw the expansion of the business that grew to over $100 million in sales, with 1000 employees and markets in twenty-two countries. Since 2004, he has devoted his efforts to comprehensive health care reform. He has worked with state-based health care reform groups in his home states of Alaska and Washington. In 2008, Mr. Gardiner was named National Policy Director of Small Business Majority, which is devoted to building new voices of small business for health care reform in states and nationally.
