INTRODUCTION
This report focusing on issues relating to Children with Special
Health Care Needs (CSHCN) in Iowa is the second in a series presenting
results from the 2000 Iowa Child and Family Household Health Survey.
Prior to this study, there was little comprehensive information
available about the health and well-being of children with special
health care needs in Iowa. The study was designed to identify the
number of children in Iowa with a such needs and to evaluate their
access to care, health status and family functioning as compared
to children without special needs in Iowa. |
