Iowa Social Science Research Center:
The ISRC is a resource for interdisciplinary social science research that provides comprehensive grant development support and data collection, access, and management services to the university community.

Public Policy Center:
The PPC was established as a freestanding unit under the Office of the Vice President for Research to facilitate interdisciplinary academic research across campus and provides policymakers with information that can make our lives and communities thrive in sustainable ways through academic research.

Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development:
The Office of the Vice President for Research has as its goal the support and advancement of research, scholarship, and creative activity on our campus. Through a broad variety of activities and services, the Office of the Vice President for Research seeks to play an important role in the underpinning of these creative activities in the public and private sectors in our region.

Division of Sponsored Programs:
The Division of Sponsored Programs (DSP) is a research support and development unit that provides services for faculty, staff, and students seeking external financial support for research, training, service, and other scholarly activities. DSP assists with funding searches and provides notice of opportunities; reviews and approves applications; negotiates award terms and conditions acceptable to the institution and the sponsor through grant awards, research contracts, and other research-related agreements; provides post-award administration services; and monitors and advises on regulatory compliance.

Human Subjects Office:
The Human Subjects Office provides administrative support for the University of Iowa Institutional Review Boards, the group of individuals charged with reviewing proposed research involving human subjects to ensure protection and compliance with federal human subjects regulations.

Other Policy Compliance Offices:
The Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development fosters responsible conduct of University research, in compliance with governmental laws and regulations and University policies. This page includes resources for faculty, staff, and students engaged in research-related activities.
