McGehee Panelist at the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society Meeting

Body

Dr. Dan McGehee served as a panelist at the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society annual meeting in San Francisco. The panel, titled "Safe Driving in the Multi-Tasking Generation," considered teen driver distraction from the 'driver life-style' point of view. Research indicates that the current generation of young drivers considers multi-tasking as 'just what they do,' what they have grown up doing, what everyone they know does. The panel considered the implications of this for policy and safety moving forward.
