Dr. Pete Damiano Receives the 2014 Dental Educator of the Year Award

Dr. Pete Damiano, director of the Public Policy Center and professor with the Department of Preventative and Community Dentistry at the University of Iowa, was awarded the 2014 Dental Educator of the Year Award during the annual University of Iowa Dental Alumni Association Reunion Dinner on October 31, 2014, for his model service to the University, students, and service to the College of Dentistry. 

Dr. Damiano has been honored for his dedication and service to the University of Iowa and to the state. In 2005, he received the American College of Dentists Award. The Iowa Dental Association gave him the 2007 Outstanding Service Award; and in 2008, Dr. Damiano received the 2008 Regents Award for Faculty Excellence.
