PPC Becomes Official Member of the National Quality Forum

The PPC recently became an official member of the National Quality Forum (NQF).  The NQF is dedicated to improving heath and health care by endorsing health care outcome measures to be used by providers, payers, consumers, and researchers.  As an NQF member, the PPC will be able to learn directly from other users how certain outcomes worked for them and what might be usefully applied to the PPC’s work. 

Researchers at the PPC use these measures to reflect the performance of program and system changes within a variety of health settings.  NQF allows the PPC to be involved in endorsing and developing new outcome measures that reflect changing practice patterns and guidelines in the health care sector.  This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of research outcomes, helping at the forefront and seeing PPC work applied.
