Damiano Remains Optimistic for Iowans Receiving Insurance Subsidies

Dr. Peter Damiano, director of the Public Policy Center and health policy researcher, was mentioned in The Des Moines Register regarding the fate of 39,000 Iowans enrolled in health care policies through the Health Insurance Marketplace.  The Des Moines Register ran a story on the U.S. Supreme Court case, King vs. Burwell, and the Iowans that have a direct stake in the case. Although the number that would be directly affected by the Court’s decision is relatively low, Damiano provides one option for Iowans to protect those at risk of losing their subsidies.
