Anthony Presents at Forum on Affordable Housing

Jerry Anthony, PPC Researcher and Professor of Urban and Regional Planning, presented at Iowa City Human Rights Commission’s forum on affordable and accessible housing Monday (October 5) evening at the Iowa City Public Library.

Panelists at the “Affordible and Accessible Housing Forum: Creating and Retaining Affordability in Johnson County” urged local leaders to enact more inclusionary zoning ordinances.  Anthony published a study last year that revealed a concentration of race in Iowa City over the last two decades, and that the city’s Affordable Housing Location model reduces the supply of new assisted rental housing.
