Event raised funds for UI Veterans

On Saturday, March 3, the University of Iowa Public Policy Center co-sponsored a fundraising event to support the 1,500 UI student veterans and their families.

The event included dinner, live music, and a silent auction and raised over $10,000, with over 100 people in attendance. The funds will support a new student veteran job placement initiative. Music was provided by local band, HomeBrewed. 

Other non-financial sponsors for this fundraiser included Iowa City and Riverside VFWs, UI Center for Diversity and Enrichment: Military and Veteran Student Services, UI College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics, Army ROTC, Air Force ROTC.
