Wehby Named 2019 COPH Distinguished Faculty Lecturer

Dr. George Wehby, professor of Health Management and Policy, and PhD program director, was selected as the UI College of Public Health's distinguished faculty lecture for 2019. He will present his lecture on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, 12:30pm, at the Callaghan Auditorium in the College of Public Health Building. Wehby is a researcher for the PPC's Health Policy Research Program.

Dr. Wehby teaches health economics and econometrics-based health services research methods. His research focuses on socioeconomics, healthcare, and policy determinants of health, with an emphasis on children’s health, and the long-term effects of early life conditions on health and human capital. Dr. Wehby has published over 130 articles in academic peer-reviewed journals and has an active externally funded research program.
