  • Content from the 'Energy and Climate Change in the Midwest' Symposium now posted

    Slide presentations and/or audio files are now available for the two-day symposium. The event provided a forum for dialogue about the energy opportunities being created in response to the growing challenge of climate change. It featured national experts from an array of backgrounds including engineers, industry representatives, policymakers, economists, and agriculture experts. Topics covered included the state of the science, economic impacts, renewable energy, energy efficiency, agricultural issues, and policy responses at the local, state, and federal levels.

  • Content from the 'Patient Centered Medical Home Symposium and Hansen Award Lecture' now posted

    Slide presentations and/or audio files are now available from this one-day symposium, which brought together the Iowa health community to learn from national and state experts and discuss strategies to achieve patient-centered medical homes. It was a collaborative effort of the University of Iowa’s Public Policy Center Forkenbrock Series and the College of Public Health’s Hansen Award Lecture. The symposium included background and national perspectives, as well as examples of current practice.
