Biography

Hosin "David" Lee is an associate professor at the Public Policy Center and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at the University of Iowa. He is Director of CEE’s graduate studies in Transportation Engineering. Previously, Dr. Lee directed the State Center of Excellence for Advanced Construction Materials at the University of Utah. Dr. Lee received the Engineering Professor of the Year award from the Utah Engineers Council and the Educator of the Year Award from ASCE Utah Section. He was chairman of ASCE T&DI Highway Pavement Committee and co-chairman of 5th International Conference on Maintenance and Rehabilitation of Pavements and Technological Control (MAIREPAV5). He is a member of the Council on Teaching, Presidential Committee on Athletics, Faculty Senate/Staff Council Budget Committee and Engineering Faculty Council at the University of Iowa. He is also a founder member of ISAP and iSMARTi, and a member of ASCE, AAPT and ASTM.
