Bio

Taha Ahmed is a Postdoctoral  Research Scholar at the Transportation Policy Research Program at the PPC and currently working with Dr. David Hosin Lee as a member of the Warm Mix Asphalt research group. He is currently working on laboratory and field evaluation of using Low-Carbon Asphalt Technology (LEADCAP) with high Recycled Asphalt Pavement (RAP) content. He joined the transportation policy research group in 2011 as a graduate research assistant during his PhD program. Before joining the PPC, Taha was a graduate research assistant at Western Regional Superpave research center at the University of Nevada Reno, where he did his Master’s degree. Taha has been a recipient of several academic awards. He was a recipient of the Annual Academic Excellence Scholarship for undergraduate students from year 1997 to 2002 at the University of Assiut, Egypt. Also, he is a former Fulbright scholar, where he participated as a visiting instructor to Kirkwood Community College, Iowa in 2008. Recently, he received the Asphalt Pavement Association of Iowa (APAI) Scholarship in fall 2012, and The University of Iowa R.F. & H. W. Poston Scholarship Fund, in spring 2013.
