Tessa Heeren

Tessa Heeren is a research associate in the Health Policy and Social and Education Policy Research Programs. She earned her master’s degree in social work from the University of Iowa, where her research interests included health system navigation, access to care, mental health parity, health stigma and restorative justice. At the Public Policy Center, Heeren’s research focuses on the evaluation of Iowa Medicaid programs, the State Innovation Model and the Iowa City Community School District school climate project.
