Route Choice Behavior Under Risky and Ambiguous Conditions

This study looks at drivers' behavioral attitudes towards 'uncertain routes,' i.e., when well-established routes are unavailable for some reason and alternatives must be selected. Data analysis will demonstrate the application of advanced behavioral modeling vs. rational choice modeling.

This research represents a collaboration between PPC Transportation Research Program Director, Dr. Paul Hanley, and Dr. Nikhil Sikka of Resource Systems Group.
