Join the UI Center for Human Rights for the first webinar in the fall series, "Human Rights and Gun Violence: Reframing the Issue." This webinar presents a conversation with Barbara A. Frey, senior lecturer in the Institute of Global Studies at the University of Minnesota and director of the Human Rights Program, as well as former UN Special Rapporteur on Gun Violence researching the impact of small arms on human rights.

Subsequent webinars in this series will explore the human rights implications of endemic gun violence while considering the opportunities and challenges a human rights framework might provide in the quest for solutions.

This webinar is open to all; no prior registration is required. The event will be closed-captioned.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Dragana Petic at dragana-petic@uiowa.edu.
