Hawkus: Mock Caucus 2020

The PPC is proud to co-sponsor this event as part of our Run Up to the Caucus series of events.

Experience Iowa's unique caucus system and the important role that it plays in picking our next President! Museum staff will teach the attendees about voting, elections, and the Iowa caucus, and children will take part in a caucus of their own to get their favorite superhero the coveted Iowa "Hawkus" nomination. The program will take place in the historic Old Capitol building. Parents drop children off at the beginning of the program and pick them up when the program is over, with museum staff and volunteers leading the program activities. Food will be provided. The Hawkus is intended for children from grades 3 to 6.
