Assistant Attorney General of Iowa, Patrick Madigan, will talk about "Improving the US Mortgage Industry: Battles Won and Challenges Ahead."
Patrick Madigan is a 1994 graduate of the University of Iowa, and a 1998 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law, where he was first in his class. After a federal clerkship and private practice, Patrick joined the Iowa Attorney General’s Office in 2004. Since then, he has become a national leader in the area of mortgage lending and servicing.
Patrick has led many large, multi-state settlements including the landmark $50 billion National Mortgage Settlement in 2012. For his work on the National Mortgage Settlement, Patrick received the Attorney General's Award for Distinguished Service, one of the United States Department of Justice's highest awards for employee performance. He has been quoted extensively in many national publications including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, National Public Radio and many others.
