ISRC Workshop: Spatial Analysis with GeoDa
Seungwon Kim
Thursday, February 27, 5:30pm - 6:45pm
243 Jessup Hall

The workshop will provide a brief introduction to spatial analysis, focusing on spatial regression using GeoDa, a free software package. Participants will learn to 1) visualize spatial dependency in the spatial datasets, 2) calculate Moran's I for measuring spatial autocorrelation, and 3) run spatial regression models. Participants are recommended to take 'ISRC Workshop: Introduction to ArcMap' as a prerequisite for some familiarity with spatial datasets, but no prior knowledge of GeoDa is required. Participants are encouraged to bring up questions on spatial aspects of their research. Datasets will be provided.
