Meme in America with Sarah Hamilton

The 2012 U.S. general election took social media to a new level, with the creation of political 'memes' that entered the general public discourse. Through "Meme in America" Sarah Hamilton looked at some of these memes, discussed how they came about, and the impact that these image macros had on the election results. 

Sarah Hamilton is currently completing her MA in Visual and Critical Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her research investigates politics, networked cultures, social media, and vintage fad dancing.
