The PPC is proud to sponsor this series of Old Capitol Round Table discussions. Join us for the third and final panel discussion in a series of virtual programs put on by The League of Women Voters of Johnson County, the University of Iowa Pentacrest Museums, and the University of Iowa Public Policy Center in continuation of the 100th anniversary commemoration of the passage of the 19th Amendment. The focus of this panel session is to honor Iowa women elected to the Iowa Legislature and state and federal offices. Former State Legislator Jean Lloyd Jones will moderate a discussion with University of Iowa Jack B. King University Librarian John Culshaw, UI Digital Humanities Librarian Nikki White, Representative Lindsay James (D-Dubuque County) and Senator Chris Cournoyer (R-Scott County). A new website honoring Iowa women elected to state and federal offices will be launched and introduced during the program.

This program is free. Register for link: HERE

This event is in conjunction with the Pentacrest Museums' exhibition, Hard Won, Not Done: A Century's Struggle (now available as a virtual exhibit). Some associated exhibition programming was canceled in 2020, due to closure. These webinars revive this thoughtful programming and expand to home audiences.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Dragana Petic at dragana-petic@uiowa.edu.
