COVID-19 Collaboration: a Forum for UI Social Scientists

ZOOM -registration link in story

Are you thinking about conducting social science research related to COVID-19 and want feedback or collaborators for your research? Are you already doing some COVID- 19 related social science research and want to share this with other investigators on campus?

The Public Policy Center invites you to participate in a forum to share COVID-19 related research ideas on Tuesday, June 2, 2:30 – 3:30. We’re looking for investigators to do a 3-5 minute presentation on your research or research ideas, followed by discussion with other UI investigators. Depending on the level of interest, we may establish break out sessions for those interested in learning more about particular projects.

All researchers are welcome to attend and/or present their work – whether developed or still in the planning stages.

The Public Policy Center and Iowa Social Science Research Center can provide support in grant development, data collection, and statistical consulting for those interested in pursuing a grant application following the discussions.

The Forkenbrock Series provides a forum for dialogue about policy areas from applied, academic, and interdisciplinary perspectives. The series was established in honor of David Forkenbrock, a nationally recognized transportation researcher. Dr. Forkenbrock established the Public Policy Center at the University of Iowa in 1987 and directed the Center until 2007. His vision was to enable public and private sector decision makers to work with faculty, staff, and student researchers to explore solutions to complex problems related to the public interest.
Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Dragana Petic at dragana-petic@uiowa.edu.
