In this workshop, we will parse webpages manually and write re-usable code blocks. While APIs are convenient, they are not always available. Specifically, we will go through a simple example of scraping data from Wikipedia. If time permits, we will introduce how to scrape from webpages built from javascript. We will be using Jupyter notebook. Some Python experience is expected but not required. Code will be provided on Github.
