1. NSF Structure and Internal Processing
   1. Identify who handles your proposal; what is their job; what happens?
   2. Recognize who to contact, why and when. Timing issues – theirs and yours
2. Solicitations, Dear Colleague Letters, and Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG)
   1. Identify what is coming, get your proposal to the right place (or places!)
   2. Recognize where to look for policies and procedures
