The U-Turn: Screening and discussion with director Luis Argueta

The Public Policy Center will co-sponsor The U-Turn: Screening and discussion with director Luis Argueta at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9 in Shambaugh Auditorium in the UI Main Library. 

Join us for a premiere screening of a new documentary narrating the transformational journey of immigrant workers who broke the silence about abuses they endured at the Agriprocessors meatpacking plant in Postville, Iowa—and the community that would not abandon them. 

Discussion to follow with award-winning filmmaker Luis Argueta. The U-Turn is the final installment in Argueta's immigration trilogy, which also includes abUSed: The Postville Raids, and Abrazos.

Free and open to the public.
