Damiano Participates in NIH Strategic Planning Session

PPC Director Peter Damiano participated in a roundtable discussion on oral health disparities to help develop the 2014-2019 Strategic Plan for the National Institutes for Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR). The NIDCR is one of the 27 institutes and centers of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The overall intent of the discussions was "to provide NIDCR leadership and program staff a forum to discuss scientific opportunities and needs with outside experts that will help shape NIDCR’s efforts across basic, translational, and clinical portfolios." Damiano and other researchers in the health policy research program at the PPC recently completed an NIH Challenge grant regarding oral health disparities in young children in Medicaid .
