Kuthy and McKernan Attend Meeting Addressing Iowa Dental Workforce Needs

Ray Kuthy and Susan McKernan recently traveled to Delta Dental of Iowa (Johnston, IA) along with Debra Hoyle (College of Dentistry, Office of Iowa Practice Opportunities) to meet with representatives from Delta Dental, the Iowa Department of Public Health, and the Iowa Area Development Group. All attendees are involved in efforts to recruit dentists to underserved communities in the state and discussed ways to coordinate and improve outreach efforts. This meeting was part of activities funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) on a grant received by Kuthy and McKernan that will address the state’s dental workforce needs over the next 3 years.
