Wachsmuth Presents at SAS Global Forum

Jason Wachsmuth, Research Data Analyst for the Health Policy Research Program, presented his paper, "Managing Files by Click and Drag?" at the SAS Global Forum 2015 in Dallas, TX on April 27.

The paper demonstrates how file management, a typically tedious process, can be automated by using SAS®  to create and execute a Windows command script. The macro copies files from one location to another, identifies obsolete files by the version number, and then moves them to an archive folder. Assuming that some basic conditions are met, this macro is intended to be easy to use and robust. Windows users running routine programs for projects with rework would benefit from this solution.

Wachsmuth has been with the PPC since July 2014 and primarily performs analyses for the Iowa Health and Wellness Plan. Previously, he was a programmer in the educational measurement field for over six years. Jason earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
