PPC Director Weighs in on New U.S. Census Bureau Data

New figures from the U.S. Census Bureau have reported that Iowa’s uninsured rate has fallen nearly 2 percent in the last year, according to an article by the Quad-City Times, based in Davenport, Iowa.

Peter Damiano, Director of the Public Policy Center and its Health Policy Research program, was cited in the article regarding the Affordable Care Act.  Damiano, having done extensive research on the implications of the Affordable Care Act, shared his insight on the Affordable Care Act’s contribution to the decline of uninsured in Iowa, but raised concerns of the remaining 33 million across the country still without coverage.
