Damiano to present keynote at ‘Culturally Responsive: Health Care in Iowa 2017’ conference

Dr. Peter Damiano, Director of the Public Policy Center and the PPC’s Health Policy Research Program, will give a keynote presentation at the “Culturally Responsive: Health Care in Iowa 2017” conference on Friday, June 2, in the UI College of Public Health Building.

Damiano, who is also a professor of preventive and community dentistry in the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics, will present “Health Care Reform in the Post-ACA World.” He will also moderate a panel on health care reform following his keynote presentation.

The conference is a multidisciplinary, inter-professional event to educate Iowa’s health care providers about the importance of providing culturally responsive and competent care, to improve access to quality health care, and to reduce health disparities. Registration is required.
