Damiano Weighs in on Iowa Proposal on Farm Bureau Insurance

Public Policy Center Director Peter Damiano was recently quoted in an article, "Despite Idaho's Failed Plan to Dodge Obamacare, Another State Tries," in Governing magazine. Iowa lawmakers are proposing a bill that would allow the Farm Bureau to sell health plans that are not compliant with the Affordable Care Act, despite a similar attempt in Idaho that was turned down by the Trump administration.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds is in support of the bill, believing that it will provide more affordable insurance for Iowans, but Damiano believes that it would further destabilize the market. To read the full article, click here.
