Roof Awarded the Hancher-Finkbine Medallion

Jocelyn Roof, an undergraduate research fellow in the Politics and Policy Research Program, was awarded the Hancher-Finkbine Medallion this Spring 2021 semester. Her work at the Public Policy Center has focused on building and sustaining community partnerships and civic engagement. She participated in last summer's inaugural Summer Policy Research Institute, and published a policy brief titled, "Attracting a Generation of Changemakers to the University of Iowa by Sustaining Community Partnerships."

The Hancher-Finkbine Medallion is awarded each year to four students, a professor, and and alumnus each year, to recognize leadership, learning, an loyalty. You can read more about the medallion, the other recipients, and Roof here.
