Jennifer Harbison

University of Iowa Health Care — Director of Health Policy

Jennifer Harbison has been with University of Iowa Health Care since August 2015, and serves as the Director of Health Policy. Her work focuses on state and federal legislation and regulatory matters across the health care spectrum.

 

In her capacity Jennifer serves on the University of Iowa Health Science Policy Council and represents UI Health Care with various public and private organizations including the Iowa Business Council, Iowa Hospital Association and the Medical Assistance Advisory Council. 

 

With 20 years of health care policy experience, she previously served as the policy advisor for the Iowa Department of Human Services from 2010 – 2015. Throughout her career Jennifer has lobbied for multiple state medical and health care advocacy groups. She began her career working in a policy advisor role in the office of Governor Terry Branstad and Lt. Governor Joy Corning.
