Data and Project Consulting Services

The ISRC offers data and project consulting services for researchers across campus. These consultations can range from assistance with a particular software program, to help with statistical analysis, to review of a statistical analysis plan for a project, or to survey or project design questions. ISRC consultants can help with questions about using Stata, R, Python, SPSS, ArcGIS, and advanced programming in Qualtrics and other survey platforms. Recent consultation topics include regression analysis, GIS and spatial distribution analysis, data visualization, providing survey data weights, and survey instrument review. In addition to our experienced staff, the ISRC employs five consultants who are Masters- and PhD-level graduate students from a variety of campus departments.

ISRC consultants also host statistical and survey research workshops each semester. These workshops provide instruction on popular statistical programs and analysis techniques such as data mining, text analysis, visualizations, Qualtrics programming, and survey design. The workshops cover both introductory and advanced topics.

Consultants and professional staff are available for free one-hour consultations; extended consultations are charged at an hourly rate.
