Jobs and Internships

Body

Jobs

Each year, the Public Policy Center (PPC) and Iowa Social Science Research Center (ISRC) hire more than 100 students in research, data collection, and administrative support. Many of our undergraduate students are trained by the ISRC in social science research activities, including data collection methodology and human subjects training; others work on faculty-led projects at the PPC as graduate and undergraduate Research Assistants; and several students join our IT and Communications teams each year.

The ISRC offers employment opportunities to students with an interest in social science research services and support. ISRC student employees assist with survey data acquisition, transcription and data entry. We are currently fully staffed, but please check back regularly as we will update our website when we have student research positions available. Contact Dawn-Bower@uiowa.edu for more information.

Our Media/Communications team offers a year-long internship for juniors and seniors with an interest in marketing, social media, journalism, or other related fields. Our media intern helps manage our social media and website activities; conducts interviews; writes stories about our research, events, and people; and assists with event production. Hours are flexible and average 10 hours per week – this is a UI student position. Internships generally start in May and last for 12 months. For more information, please contact Lisa-Moeller@uiowa.edu.

Other open positions are posted here.
