"Inequality for All"

November 19, 2013
7:00 PM – 9:30 PM
MacBride Hall Auditorium

The University of Iowa Public Policy Center will present a free screening of "Inequality for All", a 2013 documentary that examines the widening income inequality in the United States, presented by Robert Reich - an American economist, author and professor at Harvard and Berkeley, and U.S. Secretary of Labor under Bill Clinton.  The film premiered at Sundance Film Festival and won a U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award for Achievement in Filmmaking.

Reich narrates the story of the widening income gap and examines what effects this growing inequality has not only on the U.S. economy, but American democracy itself. At the heart of the film is a simple proposition: What is a good society and what role does the widening income gap play in the deterioration of the nation’s economic health?

"Inequality for All" is distributed by RADiUS-TWC and directed by Jacob Kornbluth.

The Forkenbrock Series provides a forum for dialogue about policy areas from applied, academic, and interdisciplinary perspectives. The series was established in honor of David Forkenbrock, a nationally recognized transportation researcher. Dr. Forkenbrock established the Public Policy Center at the University of Iowa in 1987 and directed the Center until 2007. His vision was to enable public and private sector decision makers to work with faculty, staff, and student researchers to explore solutions to complex problems related to the public interest.
