OVPR Community Engaged Scholars Workshop: Pitch Your Proposal

February 17, 2023
12:00 PM – 1:30 PM

The Office of Community Engagement (OCE) is offering two educational workshop opportunities for faculty and graduate students interested in participating in the Office of the Vice President for Research's (OVPR) Community Engaged Scholars Grant Program.

These sessions will assist grant applicants in refining and strengthening their proposals. The first will be a seminar giving an overview of Community Engagement and the Community Engaged Scholars Grant Program. The second will match participants with faculty partners to receive critical feedback on proposals before submission.

The Community Engaged Scholars Grant Program is an opportunity for artists, scholars, and researchers to collaborate with community partners to experiment with co-designed projects on a contained, local scale. The grant offers partners a means to address a specific research question focused on a need/opportunity in Iowa through publicly engaged arts and scholarship projects which are collaboratively, designed, deeply reciprocal, and attentive to the ongoing collaboration process, impact, and outcomes.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Dragana Petic at dragana-petic@uiowa.edu.
