The PPC will be collaborating with the Department of Urban and Regional Planning to hire a resource economist as part of the new university sustainability cluster hire. Sustainability has been identified as a priority for the University of Iowa by President Mason. Announcement of the hire was made recently by Provost Loh. Other partcipants in the 'cluster hire' of 10 new faculty positions include the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the College of Law, the College of Engineering, and the College of Public Health.
