Article on Health Care Reform Implications for Dentists

PPC Director Dr. Peter Damiano has an article this month in the Iowa Dental Journal. The article titled, Understanding the policy in health care reform and the implications for Iowa dentists, considers several questions raised by the new law that are particularly pertinent to dentists in Iowa. Although several major changes in the bill are scheduled to go into effect this fall, Damiano discusses that there are many details needing to be worked out over the next 4 years and argues that, "As dentists we must...resist any attempt...to create a two-tier dental delivery system in Iowa."
