New Report Evaluating the IowaCare Program

The third report evaluating the IowaCare program has been released. Health Behaviors and Health Literacy of IowaCare Enrollees with Diabetes was co-authored by PPC researchers Natoshia Askelson, Elizabeth Momany and Peter Damiano. It presents the results of in-depth interviews conducted to assess, among other things, the impact of IowaCare on the preventive health behavior and chronic care management of IowaCare enrollees. Results of the interviews are by and large positive, with one participant suggesting that the program should be called IowaCares.
