Research Presentation at the Association of Education Finance and Policy

PPC Public Finance researcher Phuong Nguyen recently presented a paper titled, "Asymmetric Responses to State Education Aid in Massachusetts" at the Association of Education Finance and Policy in Seattle, WA. The study examines whether municipalities respond symmetrically to increases and reductions in state education aid, and whether these responses are related to municipalities' financial responsibilities for non-school services. A related study (with co-author John Yinger), looking at recent developments in the literature on the capitalization of school quality into house values, was published in the Journal of Housing Economics.
