ISRC Director Organizes ISA Meeting

The University of Iowa hosted the International Sociological Association – RC28 Summer Meeting on August 9-12th. The meeting, “Opportunity, Meritocracy, and Changing Patterns of Social Inequality”, brought 110 scholars from 30 different countries to campus to discuss various topics related to social stratification and mobility. David Bills, Associate Dean in the College of Education, and Kevin Leicht, Chair of Sociology and Director of the ISRC, organized the meeting that was supported by the Office of the Provost, College of Education, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Perry A. and Helen Judy Bond Fund for Interdisciplinary Interaction.
