Iowa City Leads With Greener Roads

PPC Transportation Reseacher Hosin Lee is testing a new, greener way to pave our roads. The Iowa City project will be the first warm-mix asphalt (WMA) application in the United States to use a new additive called LEADCAP (Low Energy and Low Carbon-Dioxide Asphalt Pavement). WMA takes less energy to produce and makes the environment safer for road workers.
