PPC Staff, Steven Williams, takes Hybrid Course with David Osterberg

Steven Williams, Community Engagement Assistant for the Public Policy Center, took the first ever class offered that brought together both the environment and politics.  Throughout the course of the semester Williams and the other 11 students in the class taught by David Osterberg, a professor in the College of Public Health, Department of Occupational and Environmental Health, learned about the environmental issues facing the state of Iowa, legislative work addressing those issues, and how to develop policy recommendations.  At the peak of the course, the class spent their spring break in Des Moines, Iowa, meeting with state leaders and organizations.  To read the full article, click here.
